Before the piercing
What is the minimum age to get a piercing?
- From 8 years old: We pierce children's earlobes, with their consent, of course. A first visit to allow the child to become familiar with the staff and premises is recommended (no appointment necessary). An identification document of the legal guardian and the child will be required, as well as the family record book if the names are not identical on the documents. Don't worry, the required documents are clearly specified when booking an appointment via our online agenda.
- From 16 years old: We only pierce the ears (lobe, helix...etc.) of minors over 16 years old (except industrial piercing). An accompanying parent (legal guardian) must be present OBLIGATORILY on the day of the appointment with an ID card with the same name (or family record book) of the parent present and the minor.
- From 18 years old: All piercings are accessible from 18 years old :)
Do you pierce with a gun or a needle?
We use Blades, needles designed exclusively for piercing that we import from the U.S. and sterilize ourselves. It is highly inadvisable to have your ears damaged with a piercing gun or catheter, which can cause serious damage and injury. If you want to know more, you can read this prevention article we wrote against gun piercing :)
Does a piercing hurt?
Yes... and no! The pain felt during a piercing varies from person to person and depends partly on the body area concerned. Some areas are more sensitive than others, but in most cases, the potential pain is very brief: it is limited to the moment of the piercing itself, not even a second :)
The piercing area may then be sensitive for a few days with a sensation of heat and discomfort that will quickly fade.
How much does a piercing cost?
The minimum price for a piercing is 30 euros, including the initial jewelry; prices vary depending on the desired location. Custom projects are also possible by quote.
Find all our prices right here!
The indicated price includes a basic ASTM F136 titanium jewel in silver, gold, or the color of your choice. If you wish for a more refined or elaborate jewel model, you can select one directly from the display case: it will then be installed during the piercing, with an additional charge corresponding to the price of the chosen jewel.
How soon can I get a piercing?
Our three piercers' schedules are open up to 3 weeks in advance.
The waiting time can vary from a few hours to a few days; however, if you wish to come on a Saturday, we strongly advise you to book your appointment in advance via our online agenda :)
How to make an appointment for a piercing in our shop?
You can book an appointment via our online calendar right here!
Is a deposit required to book a piercing appointment?
We do not require a deposit for booking a piercing appointment.
If you cannot come, please notify us promptly so that we can offer the slot to someone else.
Are companions allowed in the piercing room?
For reasons of hygiene and space in the piercing booth, companions are not allowed in the room, except in the case of minors. However, the companion can wait at the reception during the piercing.
Can I get a piercing while pregnant?
No, we strongly advise against it. We invite you to read this article which explains the reasons for our refusal, right here!
On the day of the piercing
What happens during a piercing appointment?
Upon your arrival at the time of your appointment, your piercer will welcome you and help you choose the most suitable jewelry for your anatomy as well as the area you wish to pierce.
Before the piercing, they will explain each step and provide you with all the necessary advice to ensure a smooth piercing process and optimal healing.
How long does a piercing appointment last?
A piercing appointment typically lasts about 30 minutes, including preparation, the piercing itself, and aftercare explanations.
Depending on the number of piercings done and the chosen area, the session can sometimes extend up to an hour.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash and credit card for piercing services and jewelry.
After the piercing
How long does a piercing take to heal?
Piercing healing varies depending on the body area and the aftercare provided.
Even if the piercing appears "healed" quickly on the surface, internal healing can take much longer — up to a year for cartilage piercings (like helix or conch). Conversely, an earlobe piercing can heal in just a few months.
The speed of healing mostly depends on your care habits: avoiding manipulating or touching the jewelry and not sleeping on the piercing, for example. By following these good practices, you promote faster, cleaner healing without complications.
What are the aftercare instructions for a piercing?
You can find our aftercare sheet by clicking here.
Our professionals will explain the care instructions to you on-site first. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any doubts or questions about this!
What should you absolutely not do after a piercing?
After a piercing, certain mistakes can slow down healing or cause inflammation. To avoid any complications, here's what you absolutely must not do:
-
❌ Do not touch or twist the jewelry: this irritates the piercing channel and increases the risk of infection.
-
❌ Do not remove the jewelry before healing is complete: the hole can close very quickly.
-
❌ Avoid sleeping on the piercing, especially for cartilage areas (helix, conch, tragus).
-
❌ Do not apply unsuitable products such as alcohol or alcohol-based disinfectants, essential oils, or Betadine.
-
❌ Avoid swimming (pool, sea, spa) during the first 3 weeks.
Can I sleep on my piercing?
It is strongly advised not to sleep on a new piercing, especially if it is on the ear cartilage (helix, conch, tragus, rook, etc.).
The pressure exerted on the piercing during sleep can cause irritation, swelling, or delay healing, or even lead to migration or rejection of the jewelry. Ideally, avoid sleeping on it during the first few months of healing.
Can I wear makeup or apply cream around the piercing?
It is best to avoid any makeup, cream, or cosmetic product around a new piercing, especially during the healing phase.
These products can clog the wound, irritate the skin, or even lead to infection because they often contain perfumes, oils, or preservatives that are not compatible with a fresh piercing (= a wound).
If you need to apply a cream (e.g., moisturizing or sunscreen), make sure never to put it directly on the pierced area. Always leave a small dry space around the jewelry. Once healing is complete, you can resume your usual care and makeup without risk.
How soon can I change my jewelry?
The time to change jewelry depends on both the type of piercing and the chosen jewelry.
For an earlobe piercing, it is generally possible to change jewelry after about two months of healing.
However, for most cartilage piercings (such as helix or nostril), you should wait at least six months before being able to wear a hoop.
Each body heals at its own pace: the best thing to do is to drop by the shop without an appointment (at 38 rue des Postes in Lille) so that our piercers can assess your healing and advise you on the most suitable jewelry.
Problems & solutions
What should I do if my piercing is bleeding? What should I do if my piercing is red and swollen?
Stop by the shop without an appointment if you have any issues with your piercing; we are open 6 days a week!
My piercing is rejecting / forming a bump / an outgrowth, what should I do?
No worries! It's normal for a piercing to bleed slightly or be red and swollen in the first few days after piercing. The skin naturally reacts to the creation of a new channel, and healing varies from person to person.
However, you should not hesitate to stop by the shop without an appointment: we are open 6 days a week at 38 rue des Postes in Lille.
Our piercers will take the time to analyze the situation, understand the source of the problem (such as sleeping on the piercing, unsuitable jewelry, or unnecessary disinfectant...etc.), and advise you on appropriate care.
Every piercing is unique: there is no universal rule, but personalized support always helps resolve the situation quickly and without complications.
What should I do if my piercing hole has closed and can I get re-pierced in the same spot?
A piercing hole can close quickly, especially if it is removed too early or if the jewelry was taken out during healing.
If your jewelry has just fallen out, the best thing to do is to come directly to the shop without an appointment so our piercers can help you and put the jewelry back in :)
Our piercers will be able to determine if the canal can be gently reopened or if you need to wait to have it re-pierced later (around 2 months before re-piercing in the same spot). In most cases, it is possible to get re-pierced in the same spot, provided the skin is fully healed.
Follow-up & Services
Do you offer follow-up or jewelry changes even if the piercing was not done at your studio?
Yes, of course!
Come directly to the shop; our piercers can check your piercing, assess its healing, and change your jewelry if everything is in order — even if the piercing was not done with us.
Need advice or quality piercing follow-up?
Don't hesitate to contact us or visit the shop at 38 rue des Postes in Lille for personalized support before, during, or after your piercing.
