The most popular piercing placements in 2025
The year 2025 is not over yet, but the ranking of the most popular piercings in our shop has remained the same for several years now!
Important note: these figures are specific to us; they may not be 100% representative of demand for all piercers in France, but they can offer a clear insight into the trends we observe.
This ranking is based on the thousands of piercings performed each year in our shop, with almost 60% of them specifically for the ear area.
Far ahead of all its competitors, the lobe is consistently the most requested piercing every year! The lobe alone accounts for 21% of all piercings performed. Moreover, we are asked for pairs of lobe piercings much more often than single lobe piercings: we prefer to interpret this as society finally evolving, and the public preferring to go to professionals for their first lobe piercing rather than to unreliable chain stores or jewelers who still use piercing guns.
The second most popular piercing in the ranking is the Helix: an undying and timeless classic, its popularity, like that of the lobe, does not wane—on the contrary, the number of helix piercings performed increases every year.
Next, we leave the ear area to find an essential classic in third position: the nostril piercing.
Following these are the navel, then the conch, the septum, and finally the daith! It's worth noting that we observe significant seasonal variations in demand for navel piercings, with an unsurprising peak just before summer.
In terms of broad placement areas, the ear accounts for almost 60% of piercings performed, while facial piercings represent only 15%.
In summary, this ranking confirms well-established trends in the habits of pierced individuals in France: the ear remains by far the most requested area, driven by reliable choices such as the lobe, helix, and conch. Facial piercings (such as the nostril or septum) maintain their position, but more moderately.
These data, drawn from our own shop experience, reflect thousands of appointments analyzed between 2023 and 2025. They confirm the evolution of preferences, the rise of a more professional approach to piercing, and the growing importance of quality, hygiene, and good support.
