💠Aventurine is a variety of quartz containing inclusions of fuchsite, which causes its green color.
The name "Aventurine" is linked to the circumstances of this stone's discovery. According to legend, aventurine was discovered by accident in an Italian glassworks in the 18th century.
The name " aventurine " was therefore likely chosen to reflect the fortuitous or "adventurous" nature of its discovery. In Italian, "avventura" means "adventure" or "luck," which could also be a reference to the mineral inclusions that give the stone its glittering appearance.
